A native Canadian, Kevin Owens, was up against Santos Escobar w/Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo in the Finals Of The Number One Contenders Tournament For The WWE United States Championship.
Owens would go on to win and is now set to face Logan Paul at WWE's Royal Rumble. Paul was in attendance and a part of the broadcast team. His message to Owens is one Canucks fans won't want to hear.
"You beating me for the US title is like the Canucks winning the Stanley Cup, it's never going to happen," Paul yelled.
Owens protected Canucks fans and took matters into his own hands, leaving a mark on the current champion.
This was the first time WWE made it to Vancouver since Valentine's Day 2020. Before then, it had been over ten years since any WWE event was held in Canucks territory. The event did wonders, as fans packed Rodgers Arena with a sellout crowd.
WWE has always had its fun trash talk, but bringing hockey into it was a mistake for Logan Paul.
