The 2024 NHL All-Star Draft is now complete, with all six Vancouver Canucks knowing which team they will represent at this year's event. Despite getting the first overall pick, Team Hughes, which was run by Quinn Hughes, Jack Hughes, Elias Pettersson and Michael Bublé, did not draft a Canucks player first, instead opting to select Nikita Kucherov. Other first-round picks included William Nylander, who went second to Team Matthews; Sidney Crosby, who went third to Team MacKinnon; and Connor Hellebuyck, who was selected fourth by Team McDavid.

The first Canucks player off the board was Thatcher Demko, who was selected eighth overall by Team Hughes. He was the third goaltender selected behind Hellebuyck and Alexandar Georgiev, who went sixth overall to Team MacKinnon. His counterpart in the net will be Cam Talbot, who Team Hughes selected 24th overall.

Team Hughes went back to Vancouver in the seventh round, selecting Brock Boeser 25th overall. There was some controversy as the team didn't realize they had to select a goaltender the round prior, leading to an awkward skate back to the bench for Boeser, who had to wait until after the commercial break to be drafted officially. In the end, though, they get their man, which made Bublé incredibly excited.

Up next was newly acquired Elias Lindholm, who was selected by Team MacKinnon 30th overall. The pick was made by celebrity captain Tate McRae, who grew up a Calgary Flames fan. Of all six Canucks available, Lindholm was the only one who did not get drafted to Team Hughes, meaning he will have to wait a little longer before playing alongside his new teammates.

Lastly, J.T. Miller was Team Hughes' final selection of the night. Selected 32nd overall, he was the final player to hear his name called as the final four were selected via random draw. Miller will also be included in the skill competition on Friday, where he and the other 11 competitors will face off for $1 million.
