The Vancouver Canucks are starting to build up an impression prospect pool. From strong play in junior to success at the pro level, Canuck prospects are making an impact all over the world. Here is an update on four prospects that have impressed so far this season.
Ty Glover
After being sent down to the ECHL midway through November, Ty Glover responded in a big way. He posted 20 points in 13 games with the Kalamazoo Wings and earned a call-up back to the AHL. In two games since returning to the Abbotsford Canucks lineup, he has one shot on net and is a plus-2.
Jonathan Lekkerimäki
With the World Juniors just a week away, all eyes will be on Jonathan Lekkerimäki. The Canucks 2022 first-rounder is expected to be a big part of Team Sweden and comes into the tournament with points in three of his last four SHL games. Fans in Vancouver can catch Lekkerimäki's first game of the tournament on December 26 at 10:30 am when Sweden takes on Latvia.
Sawyer Mynio
In Seattle, Sawyer Mynio continues improving his game and is already closing in on his point total from last season. The 2023 third-rounder has become a leader for the Seattle Thunderbirds and had nine points in seven games leading up to the holiday break. A competitive player who is ready to do whatever it takes to win, he continues to be a difference-maker at both ends of the ice.
Jacob Truscott
Named captain of the Michigan Wolverines before the season, Jacob Truscott continues to take steps in his development. He is currently playing on the top pair beside Marshall Warren and is on pace to set a new career high in points. Currently one of Vancouver's top-ten prospects, the team will push hard to get him signed once his NCAA season ends.
