Some of the Canucks’ recent favourite Halloween costumes, ranked.
Happy Halloween, Canucks Nation! Now that we’ve pitched some costume ideas to some of the Vancouver Canucks, let’s take a look at some of their past favourites.
In a video posted to TikTok today, a few Canucks players were asked what their favourite recent Halloween costumes are. Preparing to take to the ice for practice, Arshdeep Bains nominated his “Incredibles” costume. While it’s not a bad costume by any means, there are much more memorable costumes farther down the list — whether they’re memorable for good or bad reasons.
Latest From THN's Vancouver Canucks Site:
Vincent Desharnais jumped at the opportunity to answer the question, lighting up as he recalled dressing as Mr. Clean two years ago, doubling down on this choice by repeating it as he left the tunnel. While I wasn’t able to find any visual proof of the costume, it wasn’t hard to think of Desharnais sporting the cleaning product mascot’s trademark earring and white t-shirt.
Conor Garland’s nomination was something that would be a little more familiar to Canucks fans. “I went as our equipment manager last year,” he contributed. It’s a fitting yet funny tribute to the Canucks’ longtime equipment manager Pat O’Neill, who worked his 3000th NHL game back in 2021. Honestly, I’m just surprised he didn’t nominate any shark costumes (if he did dress as one).
Finally, possibly the most memorable Halloween costume in recent Canucks history is the infamous J.T. Miller Playboy bunny costume from 2023. Miller has previously stated that his favourite childhood costume was a “jailbird,” something mentioned in a video from last year. However, this year, it appears he’s warmed up to the Playboy bunny disguise he donned. This costume takes the cake not only for its shock factor but also for the fact that Miller was not the only one to nominate it.
