Lankinen ultimately ended up with the starting role in Vancouver, pushing Šilovs down to Abbotsford once Demko made his season debut. In a season that has had him come back up to Vancouver on multiple occasions, Šilovs has posted an .861 SV% and a GAA of 3.65. Currently, Šilovs is back with Abbotsford, most recently making 12 stops in the team’s 2–1 win against the Bakersfield Condors.
