The 25-year-old is currently playing for the Providence Bruins and has put together a record of 26-8-7 this year. The Aldege “Baz” Bastien Memorial Award is voted on by coaches, players and members of the media representing each of the league’s 32 teams. DiPietro also represented Canada at the 2019 World Juniors, where he was named one of the top three players on the team. DiPietro's NHL career started while he was still in the OHL. He was traded alongside defensive prospect Jonathan Myrenberg for Jack Studnicka. In the end, the trade was for the best as it meant DiPietro got a fresh start with a new organization. DiPietro is now thriving in Providence.
