Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel finished fifth in Selke voting this season, the highest placing of his career.
The 28-year-old received five first-place votes, 12 second-place votes, 12 third-place votes, 16 fourth-place votes and 14 fifth-place votes, which is good enough for 256 points. He finished the season setting a career-high in points with 94 while adding 28 goals in 77 games. He also finished the season with a career-high +32. He was a dominant defensive figure at both 5-on-5 and the penalty kill, which led him to his highest placement.
Finishing ahead of Eichel was Florida Panthers' Aleksander Barkov, winning the Selke for the third time in his career, Panthers' Sam Reinhart, Tampa Bay Lightning's Anthony Cirelli and New Jersey Devils' Nico Hischier.
Eichel wasn't the only Golden Knight to find his way onto the list, as Mark Stone picked up 11 points, those coming off of one second-place vote, one fourth-place vote and one fifth-place vote. Stone has been regarded as one of the best defensive wingers in the NHL for quite some time now. He's finished as a finalist twice, ranking as high as second.
