Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said the defenseman is 'getting more test done.'

LAS VEGAS – Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy offered an update on Zach Whitecloud, who sustained an injury in Monday’s 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
Whitecloud left the game midway through the first period.
“He’s getting more tests done. He’s getting evaluated. He’s off the ice today. We’re not sure to be honest,” Cassidy said. “I don’t know if we’ll see him again this week. If we have more news, I’ll update you.”
In Whitecloud's absence, the Golden Knights will get valuable looks at some of the depth options at defensemen.
The team has Ben Hutton available, but other options are available for the third right side defenseman including Brayden Pachal, Kaedan Korczak, Lukas Cormier, and Dysin Mayo.
All should see some time this preseason the longer that Whitecloud is deemed unable to play.
“They’ll get an opportunity, “ Cassidy said. “There’s depth at the position. We’re hoping it’s not serious for Whitey or long term. But ‘til he’s back on the ice, those guys will get a little more eyes on them.”
