WA-VGK-KeysToSuccess Victor Olofsson will be taking on the Buffalo Sabres for the first time in his career as a Vegas Golden Knights player. The 29-year-old played the first six years of his career with the Sabres, amassing 314 games, scoring 90 goals and 182 points. The 2014 seventh-round pick worked hard to get himself into the NHL and is now enjoying both personal and team success with the Golden Knights. Through his first 18 games this season, Olofsson has scored eight goals and 13 points. He's shown effectiveness on both the power play and at 5-on-5 but would take a goal any way it comes tonight to show the Sabres what they let walk out the door. Since the Golden Knights acquired Jack Eichel from the Sabres, the matchup between the two teams has carried extra animosity, with each team trying to prove the other wrong. For tonight's iteration, Adin Hill will try to keep the Sabres from scoring. He's allowed three goals in back-to-back games but has shown at times that he is still the goaltender that helped win the Stanley Cup. Hill will oppose Finnish netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen tonight. Golden Knights projected lines: Olofsson-Eichel-Stone Hertl-Karlsson-Kolesar Pearson-Howden-Dorofeyev Rondbjerg-Schwindt-Holtz McNabb-Theodore Hanifin-Pietrangelo Hague-Whitecloud Hill Samsonov Sabres projected lines: Zucker-Cozens-Thompson Quinn-Kulich-Tuch Benson-Krebs-Peterka Malenstyn-McLeod-Aube-Kubel Dahlin-Byram Samuelsson-Power Gilbert-Clifton Luukkonen Reimer Puck drop is at 7:00 P.M.
