The Capitals are coming off their biggest win of the season.

After winning the biggest game of the season on Tuesday, the Washington Capitals are in for another tough contest as they get a rematch with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Washington has the chance to potentially jump into third in the Metropolitan Division and further stake a claim for a playoff spot with a win.

The Capitals will keep the same lineup they had Tuesday, with Sonny Milano still dealing with an upper-body injury. Charlie Lindgren will be making his 13th start in 15 games.

- Sonny Milano is out again due to an upper-body injury.

- Tom Wilson is serving the fourth game of a six-game suspension.

- Ethan Bear has entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program and is out indefinitely as he receives care.

- Nicklas Backstrom is still on long-term injured reserve and is unlikely to play again this season after stepping away due to his hip not responding as he'd hoped following hip resurfacing surgery in June 2022.
