    WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals didn't like how Game 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes went, and will try to be the storm rather than just weather it on Thursday in Game 2.

    Here's everything to know before puck drop at 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena.

    Washington Capitals Line Combinations

    The Capitals will make changes after a disappointing showing in the series opener, with Ryan Leonard drawing out for Taylor Raddysh. Logan Thompson will start, and Mitchell Gibson will back up. Charlie Lindgren is out due to personal family reasons.

    Washington Capitals Stats & Storylines

    - Brandon Duhaime has points in three straight playoff games.

    - Dylan Strome leads Washington in scoring with nine points through six playoff games so far.

    - Alex Ovechkin has a team-leading four goals through the first five games of the playoffs. Watch for him to be hungry as the Capitals try to even the series.

    - Aliaksei Protas had the lone goal for Washington against Carolina on Tuesday. Keep an eye on him, as coach Spencer Carbery pointed out the need for him to be a game-changer this series.
