    WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals are back in action after clinching a playoff spot, and they'll aim to keep the good times rolling as they host the Florida Panthers.

    Here's everything to know before puck drop at 5 p.m. ET.

    Washington Capitals Line Combinations

    The Capitals will stick mainly with what's worked, and the only change will come int he top-6. Logan Thompson starts.

    - Aliaksei Protas is on a three-game point streak and has eight points in his last six games.

    - Anthony Beauvillier is coming off his first multi-point outing with D.C.

    Washington Capitals Storylines

    - Alex Ovechkin will continue his GR8 Chase, as he sits seven goals away from breaking Wayne Gretzky's all-time goals record. The 39-year-old has 35 goals this season and is on pace to hit 895 on April 13 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

    - Look out for Connor McMichael as he continues to find his scoring touch down the stretch.

    - Watch out for Brandon Duhaime. He's coming off a strong showing against the Flyers.
