    Washington Capitals Stats

    - Aliaksei Protas has six goals and eight points in his last five games.

    - Dylan Strome has scored in two of his last theee and has points in six of his last seven outings, as does Tom Wilson.

    - Pierre-Luc Dubois has five points in his last three games.

    Washington Capitals Storylines

    - Alex Ovechkin scored career goal No. 887 back on Saturday and needs just eight more to break Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goals record.

    - Trevor van Riemsdyk ended a 145-game goal drought last game and will look to remain offensively involved.

    - Last game against Detroit, Washington got off to a slow start but rallied with a huge third for the win. Look for the Capitals to try and start on time.
