Game 3 in Montreal has gotten out of hand between the Washington Capitals and Montreal Canadiens, as tensions officially boiled over between both teams to close out the second period.

Tom Wilson and Josh Anderson, adversaries since the series started back on Monday, were jawing at each other after the buzzer sounded with Washington crossing the ice to go to the dressing room.

That's when all hell broke loose and Wilson and Anderson grabbed one another, throwing hits and punches as the two took matters off the ice and continued fighting on the Capitals bench.

The referee also ended up on the bench as he tried to break up the fight. All the while, the teams kept going at it on the ice, and Lars Eller and Arber Xhekaj also exchanged words and hits with one another.

As Anderson left, Wilson continued to chirp, mocking him as he left the ice surface.

Both Wilson and Anderson received matching roughing penalties, along with respective misconducts. Eller and Xhekaj also received offsetting roughing penalties.
