Alex Ovechkin will be back in the mix for the Capitals as they host the Blues.

WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals have a key piece of the lineup back, as it appears as though Alex Ovechkin will draw back into the mix against the St. Louis Blues.

Ovechkin is taking warmups and looks set to return after missing the last three games with a lingering lower-body injury. He had been a game-time decision for six straight contests.

Through 39 games this season, Ovechkin has eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points.

Meanwhile, Beck Malenstyn will miss Thursday's game due to a personal matter. Joel Edmundson is also out and is now day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
