Here's everything to know before the Capitals take on the Oilers.

The Washington Capitals did not kick off their vital five-game road swing out west on the right foot with a tough loss in Winnipeg just two nights ago, and they'll look to redeem themselves on Wednesday against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.

Here's everything to know before puck drop at Rogers Place at 10 p.m. D.C. is three points out of a Wild Card spot and seven points out of third in the Metropolitan Division, with games in hand.

The Capitals will be without Aliaksei Protas due to a lower-body injury, but Tom Wilson, Nic Dowd and Martin Fehervary are returning from injury.
