    Here's everything to know before the Capitals play host to the Blues.

    WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals are back in action and will look to close out their home stand on a high note against the St. Louis Blues.

    The playoffs are also on the line as they sit one point out of a Wild Card spot.

    Here's what to know before puck drop at 7 p.m. ET at Capital One Arena:

    Alex Ovechkin (lower-body) will make his return after missing the last three games. Beck Malenstyn (personal matter) and Joel Edmundson (undisclosed) are out

    That said, here are how the lines could look:

    Washington Capitals Injury Report

    - Ovechkin (lower-body) will be back in the lineup. He missed the last three games with injury.

    - Rasmus Sandin (upper-body) upgraded to contact on Thursday but remains out of the lineup for the seventh straight game.

    - Sonny Milano (upper-body) remains in a non-contact jersey and will miss his 19th consecutive game.

    - T.J. Oshie has points in three straight games and four of the last five games overall.

    - Nic Dowd has five points in his last six games.

    - Ovechkin has points in six straight outings.
