Washington Capitals defenseman Cole Hutson may be done playing at Boston University, but for him, the college is still home — and will be where he finishes up his degree.

Hutson spoke on his time at BU when catching up with reporters at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase in Chicago, and shared that he'll continue to follow the Terriers closely as he continues his NHL journey in D.C.

"Just be as supportive as you can, treat it like you're still there, be its biggest fan," Hutson said of Boston.

Hutson played two seasons with the Terriers, picking up 70 points through in 74 NCAA games. He had 32 points in 35 games last season before signing his entry-level deal with the Capitals and making the NHL jump in March, where he had 10 points in 14 games.

The 20-year-old is enjoying the next phase of his career, but did say that he misses his teammates and still keeps in touch, and plans to finish his degree. Hutson had joked that his major was "hockey."

"I'm still texting with the guys every day. I miss them a lot," Hutson said. "I'll be back there next year for summer going, going to try to finish."
