The Washington Capitals will be without the services of Alex Ovechkin on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, as the captain will be sitting out to rest up ahead of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Ethen Frank will replace Ovechkin in the lineup.
All the while, Jakob Chychrun remains out after missing the last game due to illness, so Alex Alexeyev will draw in for his first game since November.
Hunter Shepard will get the start.
