The Washington Capitals will be getting a new look this season.

Fanatics announced on Wednesday that all 32 teams will have a Hometown Remix uniform for the 2026-27 campaign.

The Hometown Remix sweaters are "inspired by the fans, cities and culture that make each team feel like home," Fanatics wrote on X. It's similar to the "Reverse Retro" campaign that Adidas had going in the final years of its contract with the NHL, which D.C. used to revive the "Screaming Eagle" with red and black sweaters.

Washington released new third jerseys last season, featuring their red primary color scheme and the Screaming Eagle as the main logo.

It's unclear if the Screaming Eagle will again be the center of the new sweaters, though a tribute to that specific jersey from the 1990s could be pivotal to the Hometown Remix design for D.C.

According to a report from Icethetics, early reports indicate that the jersey's primary color will be the blue from their '90s Screaming Eagle sweaters, with black and bronze expected to be featured as well.

The new jerseys will be released shortly after the start of the new season.
