Washington Capitals Tom Wilson is getting some refreshers on his left and right hooks, as he's ramping up his training ahead of his return to D.C.
Wilson worked with Spanish National Kickboxing champion and MMA coach Jorge Blanco, trading spars in Toronto. He's been training this offseason where he usually does, at Paragenix Systems with longtime trainer Matt Nichol.
It's been a busy offseason for Wilson, who vacationed with family and also attended a beach volleyball tournament with his wife and pro volleyball player, Taylor Pischke, before getting back in the gym. He also earned an invite to Team Canada's orientation camp, a first step toward making the Olympic team for the upcoming Winter Games in Milan.
