Second periods haven't been kind to Washington this season, but Saturday was a step in the right direction. After going down 2-1, the Capitals busted out with five goals in the second.
Jakob Chychrun supplied two of those goals, while Aliaksei Protas and Martin Fehervary also got on the board to make it a 6-2 game going into the final 20 minutes of play.
A lot of Washington's high-octane offense came from the blue line. Not only did Chychrun score twice, but Fehervary, Matt Roy and Rasmus Sandin had multi-point outings as the blue line combined for 10 points en route to the victory.
Ultimately, everyone got on the scoresheet with the exception of Alex Ovechkin, Lars Eller and Nic Dowd.

- Taylor Raddysh and Brandon Duhaime both had multi-point outings.
- Logan Thompson stopped 30 of 33 shots to advance to 25-2-5.
