    Giveaways include a Sonny Milano chia planter, a Capitals Hawaiian shirt and much more.

    ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals dropped their 2023-24 promotional schedule on Monday, and the items up for grabs are some of the best yet.

    A Sonny Milano Chia planter — dubbed Chia Milano — headlines the giveaways, but there are also bucket hats, Hawaiian shirts and more that fans will get for free. The schedule also features some unique crossover jerseys, but those are going to be a bit harder to secure.

    These are free of charge for fans with any ticket to the following 2023-24 home games.

    Washington also announced all of its upcoming theme nights, which include Hockey Fights Cancer and Pride Nights. There will be no special jerseys for these events, as commissioner Gary Bettman announced earlier this offseason that the league will be doing away with special warmup jerseys after select players' decisions to boycott wearing specific jerseys.
