Here's everything to know as the Capitals continue their playoff push against Buffalo.

With nine games left in the regular season and plenty of points still up for the taking, the Washington Capitals have some work left ahead of them, and their road to the playoffs continues Tuesday in an important matchup with the Buffalo Sabres.

Here is everything to know before puck drop at 7 p.m. ET at KeyBank Center:

Washington Capitals Line Combinations

The Capitals will be without T.J. Oshie on Tuesday, as he deals with an upper-body injury. Rasmus Sandin, however, will make his return to the lineup, and with Oshie out, expect Nicolas Aube-Kubel to draw in at forward.

Charlie Lindgren will get the start once again.

Washington Capitals Injury Report

- T.J. Oshie is out due to an upper-body injury.

- Tom Wilson is serving the final game of a six-game suspension.

- Nicklas Backstrom is still on long-term injured reserve and is unlikely to play again this season after stepping away due to his hip not responding as he'd hoped following hip resurfacing surgery in June 2022.

- Dylan Strome has points in six of the last seven outings.

- Nic Dowd and Nick Jensen are riding three-game point streaks.
