WASHINGTON — After a 1-3-1 start to the 2023-24 campaign, the Washington Capitals are starting to put the pieces together and have won eight of their last 10 — but it's still early, and there's still work to do.
Still, it's an impressive turnaround for freshman bench boss Spencer Carbery's group, which has worked its way up from the bottom of the standings to sneak into second in the Metropolitan Division behind only former head coach Peter Laviolette's New York Rangers.
Offering perspectives on the Capitals is something that I'm grateful to do and will continue to do every day, but I also want to hear from you, the fans. That's why I put together The Hockey News' fan survey and open forum to get your takes on how things are stacking up so far.
Questions include a little bit of everything, including your thoughts on Alex Ovechkin as he continues "the GR8 Chase," rookies so far, biggest surprises, areas of concern and more.
You can also comment and speak your mind at The Hockey News' official Washington Capitals forum, where you can start original posts, comment on existing posts and follow along with all the latest Capitals news and notes.
The Hockey News will compile results and post them on Nov. 29, allowing a full week and change for voting, so happy surveying.
