The Capitals saw some new faces in Arlington on Thursday.

ARLINGTON, V.A. — Each day, more of the Washington Capitals are descending on MedStar Capitals Iceplex for informal skates, and on Thursday, more new faces took the ice in Arlington.

Taylor Raddysh joined the mix, along with Bogdan Trineyev, now wearing No. 87 with Andrew Mangiapane taking No. 88. Jakob Chychrun was also present again after joining the team on Tuesday, while Pierre-Luc Dubois, Matt Roy, Logan Thompson, Vincent Iorio, Alex Alexeyev, Jakub Vrana and a handful of AHL and junior players continue to practice ahead of training camp.

Raddysh was in high spirits as he showed off his shot and tenacity, while also making some good plays during the session.

Players kicked off the informal skate with routine skating and shooting drills before getting into a longer scrimmage.

Chychrun was among the standouts of the day, showcasing his speed and puck-moving ability. He's able to play the role of a quarterback from the blue line and has great awareness at both ends of the ice.

Washington acquired Chychrun from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Nick Jensen at the start of the offseason, with the hopes of adding some more offense to the blue line. From the looks of it, he'll add that, and then some, as he could potentially slot in alongside John Carlson on that top pairing.

Informal skates will continue for the Capitals leading up to training camp, which is expected to begin in mid-September. Until then, more players will continue to fill the rink for some on-ice workouts.
