The Capitals have brought up another forward option ahead of Friday’s tilt in Carolina.
The Washington Capitals have recalled another forward ahead of Friday’s tilt with the Carolina Hurricanes, bringing up Matthew Phillips from the AHL’s Hershey Bears.
Phillips was loaned back to Hershey earlier in the week, but with T.J. Oshie ailing, he gives the team another forward option. It is unclear if another player is dealing with injury.
Through 31 games between Washington and the Pittsburgh Penguins this season, Phillips has a goal and four assists for five points.
