The Capitals are looking to get back into playoff position and complete the sweep against the Blues.

The Washington Capitals are back in action on Saturday and face a tall task, as they look to not only complete a sweep in their second consecutive game against the St. Louis Blues but to jump up the standings and into playoff position.

Here's everything to know before puck drop at Enterprise Center at 8 p.m. ET.

Washington Capitals Line Combinations

Beck Malenstyn and Joel Edmundson are back in the mix after missing Thursday's game against St. Louis, as Malenstyn and his wife welcomed their first child, a boy named Beau, while Edmundson was dealing with an upper-body ailment.

Hendrix Lapierre will draw out up front, and Trevor van Riemsdyk will be the healthy scratch on defense.

There are some notable changes, though, as Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nic Dowd swapped center roles.

That said, here are the potential line combinations:

Alex Ovechkin-Nic Dowd-Tom Wilson

Max Pacioretty-Dylan Strome-T.J. Oshie

Aliaksei Protas-Connor McMichael-Anthony Mantha

Beck Malenstyn-Evgeny Kuznetsov-Nicolas Aube-Kubel

Martin Fehervary-John Carlson

Alex Alexeyev-Nick Jensen

Joel Edmundson-Ethan Bear.

Charlie Lindgren will get the start in goal.

- Rasmus Sandin (upper-body) will miss his eighth consecutive outing as he deals with an injury. Two of those games were missed due to an illness.

- Alex Ovechkin is on a seven-game point streak.

- Dylan Strome has points in three of his last four games, with four points over that span.

- Max Pacioretty had two assists on Thursday and has four points in his last five outings.
