Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is looking to make the most out of the 4 Nations break.

The Capitals have the next nine days off while the NHL hosts its inaugural international tournament, and during that time, the 39-year-old wants to not only rest and prepare for the final part of the season but also get some training in.

"I flew to Miami with my wife and children, and I will have a small training camp," Ovechkin said in an interview with RG.

Ovechkin is set to train with a former NHLer, though he wants to make a mystery out of who he'll be working with.

"Maybe you'll see it on my or his social media," he hinted.

In addition, he'll try to get some vacation and relaxation in, as he did last season when he rode camels in Dubai during the All-Star break. The Russian is coming off an impressive first half of his 20th NHL season, where he totalled 26 goals and 17 assists for 43 points in 39 games despite missing a few weeks with a broken left leg.

"I'll also rest... you need to rest well and work hard," Ovechkin said. "I will rest for a few days, recover and prepare."

Ovechkin sits 16 goals away from breaking Wayne Gretzky's all-time goals record. If he maintains his current pace, he will break the record in April.
