Capitals Injury Report: Plan For Pacioretty's Return, New Updates On Oshie, Milano, Lindgren & Fehervary

ARLINGTON, V.A. — Head coach Spencer Carbery said it's possible for Max Pacioretty to make his Washington Capitals debut as soon as Wednesday, and the team also announced that his debut will come "in the next week" while delivering a number of other injury updates.

Pacioretty is targeting this next week for his triumphant return from a re-torn Achilles, which he suffered last January just five games into his comeback from the initial tear. He has been taking contact for the last couple of weeks and was cycling in on rushes on Monday.

While the news on No. 67 is encouraging, Carbery said that he was "not positive" with regard to fellow injured forwards Sonny Milano and T.J. Oshie. Milano is now considered week-to-week with an upper-body injury, while Oshie is day-to-day with his own upper-body ailment. Both have skated since their initial injuries on Dec. 9 and Dec. 16, but neither were on the ice on Monday.

Beyond the forward lines, the team is also waiting for Charlie Lindgren to make a full recovery from an upper-body injury that forced him from the net in Friday's 5-1 loss to the New York Islanders. Lindgren will not play in the next two games, but he is considered day-to-day, as his injury isn't as bad as initially thought.

Martin Fehervary, who left Friday's game with an upper-body injury and missed Saturday's tilt with the Nashville Predators, was a full go at practice and taking part in full contact while skating on the top pairing with John Carlson. He is likely to be back in the mix for Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
