The Capitals face some lineup questions as they kick off their road trip in Winnipeg.

The Washington Capitals are starting the biggest road trip of the season off with some uncertainty, as both Charlie Lindgren and Tom Wilson are questionable while the lineup is up in the air for Monday's showdown with the Winnipeg Jets.

Head coach Spencer Carbery told reporters in Winnipeg that both Lindgren and Wilson took maintenance days and missed morning skate, and it is unclear whether or not they will play.

He did not have definitive updates on Nic Dowd, Martin Fehervary or T.J. Oshie, who all made the trip and are expected to return from injury at some point soon. All three were in regular jerseys on Saturday.

"Working through some lineup things on all fronts, so I can't give you much lineup (information). It will be determined in the next few hours as it leads up to game time," Carbery said.

Lindgren has started the last five games for the Capitals and has been instrumental in the team's 7-2-1 run in the last 10 games. He made 29 saves on 30 shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kuemper is available to start if Lindgren can't go. He missed Thursday's game due to illness but was well enough to back up on Saturday, leading to Hunter Shepard's reassignment. It's unclear if Shepard will come back up if Lindgren can't start.

Wilson, meanwhile, has goals in back-to-back games. He had to get seven stitches back on Thursday after taking a high stick to the face in the win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Here are the lines that the Capitals were running with on Saturday:

Alex Ovechkin-Hendrix Lapierre-Aliaksei Protas

Beck Malenstyn-Mike Sgarbossa-Nicolas Aube-Kubel
