
The Washington Capitals will be represented at the IIHF World Championships, as Martin Fehervary will lace them up for Team Slovakia.
A number of Capitals received invites to play at Worlds, but Fehervary is the only confirmed player who will play.
Charlie Lindgren received an invite to play for Team USA at Worlds, but turned it down with his focus on the Capitals. He also wants to go turkey hunting with his grandfather in Minnesota.
Dylan Strome also turned down Team Canada’s invite and will not play in the tournament.
Rasmus Sandin played for Team Sweden last year, but it’s unclear if he’ll return to play with them again.
Worlds begin on May 10.
