The Washington Capitals will be well-represented at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase, as the team's practice facility, MedStar Capitals Iceplex, will play host to several of the league's top prospects on Sept. 5 in Arlington, Virginia.
Vincent Iorio will be Washington's representative, who will pose for trading card photos and hit the ice for some action with No. 1 pick Connor Bedard and several other top prospects across the league.
Iorio, who went No. 55 in the 2021 NHL Draft — he was the Capitals' first pick of that draft — made his NHL debut last season, picking up his first NHL point on an assist to Alex Ovechkin and appearing in three games for Washington. The 2022-23 campaign was his first pro season, where he spent the majority of the time anchoring the AHL's Hershey Bears' blueline and helping the team to the Calder Cup.
