The Washington Capitals saw Charlie Lindgren suffer yet another potential setback at practice on Monday, as the netminder went down and left practice while consulting the training staff.
Lindgren had just made his return to the lineup from another injury suffered during the Oct. 16 optional skate. That ailment held him out of the lineup for six games.
This latest injury is not related to the one he had been dealing with, the team said.
Meanwhile, the lines stayed pretty much the same as they were for Sunday's 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks. Hardy Häman Aktell, who had his first NHL point on Sunday, kept his place in the lineup alongside Nick Jensen.
Up front, Hendrix Lapierre remains up with the big club as Sonny Milano made his return to the ice after being held out of the mix over the weekend due to illness. With Milano back, Lapierre centering the fourth line and Matthew Phillips moving up to the third line, Connor McMichael and Nicklas Backstrom were interchanging.
Nic Dowd remains out and did not skate, nor did Joel Edmundson.
Here were the full combinations, per Monumental Sports Network's Matt Weyrich.
