The Capitals could end up third in the Metropolitan Division.

The Washington Capitals will look to continue their playoff push and get back at the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, and all the while, they face some lineup questions.

Washington is working through a bit at the forward position. with Sonny Milano recovering from an upper-body injury.

Head coach Spencer Carbery told reporters in Toronto that the team will work through some decisions upfront. However, it's not expected to change much from Tuesday.

Tom Wilson will serve the fourth game of a six-game suspension for high-sticking Maple Leafs forward Noah Gregor. Matthew Phillips, who was recalled on Wednesday, is the extra forward on hand.

The other end of the ice looks more clear for the Capitals, as they will roll with the same defensive pairings. Charlie Lindgren will start again, marking his 13th start in 15 games.

Vincent Iorio, who was called up on Wednesday with Ethan Bear entering the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program, will be the healthy scratch with the blue line lining up the same way.

On the flip side of the matchup, Auston Matthews missed morning skate and will be a game-time decision due to illness, per The Hockey News' David Alter. Joseph Woll will start for Toronto.

Here are the projected line combinations for D.C.
