The 27-year-old netminder has gone 6-0 to begin his Capitals tenure.

Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson is putting himself on the radar with his 6-0 start to the 2024-25 campaign, and it appears to have him some international attention, too.

Per ESPN's Kevin Weekes, Thompson is drawing attention from Team Canada ahead of the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off.

Thompson, who was acquired in the offseason in order to fill the void left by Darcy Keumper, has a .903 save percentage through six starts this season, ranking fifth among Canadian goaltenders this season.

His last two outings have been convincing, as he's made some big saves while stopping 67 of 71 combined shots for a .944 save percentage.

The 27-year-old has been sharing the net with Charlie Lindgren to open the season, but with this being the final year of his contract, he's looking to show the Capitals that he can be a full-time starter and earn an extension.

This would be Thompson's second international appearance for Canada; he played in the 2022 IIHF World Championship, posting a .881 save percentage through four games.

Thompson isn't the only Capital drawing attention for 4 Nations; Tom Wilson's hot start to the year also has him as a possibility to suit up for Canada, and Dylan Strome's also producing at over a point-per-game pace while leading his team in scoring and sitting fourth in the NHL in assists.

The 4 Nations Face-Off will take place from Feb. 12-20, 2025, in Montreal and Boston, as Canada will face off against the United States, Finland and Sweden in a first-of-its-kind tournament between each country's top NHL stars.
