

ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals got positive news ahead of Tuesday's practice, as T.J. Oshie took the ice for some individual work ahead of the skate.
Oshie was in high spirits and working on shooting, skating and passing ahead of practice.
The 37-year-old has been out with an upper-body injury over this last stretch. On Feb. 21 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, he was hurt on a non-contact play where he spun and fell to the ice in visible discomfort.
This appears to be Oshie's first time skating since the injury. Though he did not join the main group for practice, it was a positive sign and a step in the right direction.
Oshie is week-to-week and remains on the injured reserve. He is expected to be back this season, per general manager Brian MacLellan.
Getting Oshie back will be a big boost to the Capitals. Through 38 games, he has 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points and has been a key part of the top
