WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals let out a sigh of relief on Sunday, as Martin Fehervary has returned to the bench after an injury scare and collision with Tomas Hertl.
Fehervary was skating into the offensive zone when he lost his balance. He then collided with Tomas Hertl, who caught Fehervary in the mouth with his hands/stick/glove. The Slovak blueliner went down in pain and stayed down for a moment.
With the help of the athletic trainer and captain Alex Ovechkin, Fehervary got up and immediately went to the dressing room.
It's a tough loss for Washington, as Fehervary was skating with John Carlson on the top pairing.
