The Washington Capitals are continuing to get some work in ahead of the season, as informal skates are still underway at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. And on Wednesday, a handful of additional players joined the mix.

Per Monumental Sports Network's Tarik El-Bashir, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Nic Dowd joined Matt Roy and Logan Thompson, who have been around the last few weeks. John Carlson, as well as Sonny Milano, who is trying to win back his roster spot after missing all but three games last season with injury, were also in attendance.

Lars Eller, who signed with the Ottawa Senators this summer, is also skating with the group, and a number of local pros and NCAA players are also taking part in the informal sessions.

Informal skates will continue to ramp up in the coming weeks, with Alex Ovechkin set to return in early September and more players making their way back to the area.
