    The Capitals are going all out to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

    ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals are going all out to celebrate their 50th anniversary, as they released their jam-packed promotional calendar for the 2024-25 campaign.

    Washington's schedule includes a variety of giveaways and theme nights to pay homage to the team's humble beginnings.

    Some of the top giveaways include a replica of the team's inaugural 1974-75 sweaters, as well as an Alex Ovechkin & Nicklas Backstrom duo bobblehead, a Zamboni gravy boat, a Capitals Marvel comic book and more.
