The Capitals forward had some advice for the Flyers rookie.

Washington Capitals forward Brandon Duhaime appeared to have a stern warning for Philadelphia Flyers rookie Matvei Michkov, who was trying to stir the pot in the second period of Wednesday's contest.

On a face-off in the second period, Duhaime and Michkov were lined up next to each other, when Michkov started some pushing and shoving to try and start something with Duhaime.

Duhaime pushed back and the two started talking as the referees came to shut it down, at which point the Capitals fourth liner appeared to advise Michkov against it as well with a simple four-word statement.

"You don't want that," Duhaime seemed to say on the broadcast.

Duhaime then went to take the face-off for Nic Dowd, who was excused from the circle. He and Michkov exchanged some hits after the puck dropped for the draw, but nothing came of it.

In 217 career NHL games, Duhaime has amassed 243 penalty minutes and 17 NHL fights, along with over 38 total fights at the pro level. Michkov is seven games into his rookie season and has six penalty minutes, though he has yet to drop the gloves.

Washington defeated Philadelphia 6-3 for its fifth straight win.
