Here's a definitive list of all the wins and losses the Capitals have experienced with regard to challenges, referees and the situation room this season.

The Washington Capitals haven't fared too well this season when it comes to goals being taken off the board.

In fact, eight in total have been waved off by the referee, with seven of those coming at the hands of coach's challenges and challenges initiated by the situation room in Toronto itself. Three of those goals belonged to Ovechkin.

Looking at 13 different instances of challenges, referees' decisions and video reviews, Washington has won just two challenges all season long while losing eight goals in total.

Here's a full breakdown of how things have played out this season.

    Who challenged: The situation room

What happened: Alex Ovechkin scored a potential game-winning goal with 59.5 seconds to go in regulation, with Nic Dowd heavily screening Yaroslav Askarov in front. Ruling: No goal for Washington.
