Hear from Lapierre, Protas, Carlson and the Capitals following a wild 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators on Monday.
WASHINGTON — It was a wild night in the Nation's Capital, one where the Hershey Bears and youth ended up paving the way for a critical win for the Washington Capitals over the Ottawa Senators.
Hendrix Lapierre, who was called up just a few days ago and playing in his first NHL game in over a month, struck twice, while Aliaksei Protas put up a three-point night as others chipped in with multi-point nights en route to a 6-3 victory.
The win puts D.C. four points out of third place in the Metropolitan Division with less than two weeks to go until the trade deadline.
Here's what Lapierre, Protas and more had to say after the win, live from the locker room.
