According to Nick Kypreos on Sportsnet, teams have been calling about winger Cole Perfetti as the trade deadline approaches. Kypreos noted that Perfetti would be the Winnipeg Jets’ most valuable trade chip outside of their biggest roster players, and while he is not currently on his top list of targets, he is a name being watched closely heading into next week.

Perfetti was signed to a two‑year, $6.5 million contract in September 2024 that runs through the end of the 2025‑26 season, after which he will be a restricted free agent.

This season with the Jets, Perfetti has been working to find consistency. Through 44 games played, he has 7 goals and 14 assists for 21 points, with a minus‑5 rating, 35 shots on goal, 21 hits, and 15 blocked shots. Those numbers show he has been involved offensively and physically but not yet at the breakout level some expected coming off previous seasons.

Perfetti’s 2025‑26 totals come after a 50‑point season in 2024‑25, when he scored 18 goals and registered 32 assists in a full campaign.

Jets fans, with the trade deadline right around the corner, what do you think about Perfetti’s situation. Should Winnipeg try to keep him as part of their core and build around him, or does now feel like the right time to consider moving him while his name is getting interest around the league?
