Haydn Fleury has been activated from injured reserve and is expected to be available for the next Jets game after missing more than two months due to injury. He will suit up for Winnipeg on Sunday versus the San Jose Sharks. His return comes after he had not played since December 19 because of the injury.

Fleury’s 2025‑26 season has been limited by the injury setback. In the 17 games he’s played with the Winnipeg Jets this season, he has no points, six penalty minutes, 11 shots on goal, 23 hits, and 26 blocked shots. Those are the only recorded stats for him this campaign before landing on IR.

The injury that sidelined him was a frightening play, when he was knocked backwards hard into the boards during a game against the Vegas Golden Knights in early January. He was taken off the ice on a stretcher and transported to hospital after the collision. He was conscious and moving his extremities when he departed the arena, and the Jets reported he suffered a broken nose and bruised back as a result of the hit.

Fleury’s absence has been felt on the Jets blue line, but his return gives the team more depth and experience at the back. Jets fans, how do you feel about his potential impact now that he’s back in the lineup? Do you think he can earn a regular spot on the defense corps again this season or will he be eased in slowly?
