With his power play goal Friday against the Anaheim Ducks, Gabriel Vilardi added another dangerous tally with the man advantage for the Winnipeg Jets. That goal was his 29th power play goal as a Jet, putting him in 13th place in franchise history for most power play goals and moving him past former Jets forward Mathieu Perreault on the all time list.

This season with Winnipeg, Vilardi has been a key contributor offensively. Through his games played, he has scored 19 goals and added 25 assists for 44 points while also supplying seven power play goals and seven power play assists. Those totals show his value not only at even strength but especially with the extra attacker.

Looking ahead on the Jets franchise leaderboard, Vilardi sits just behind Dany Heatley in 12th place. He needs three more power play goals to match Heatley’s total and continue climbing up the list.

As the season continues and the playoff push ramps up, Vilardi’s production on the power play has become an important element of the Jets special teams attack.

Jets fans, what do you think? Can Vilardi keep this pace up and move into the top 10 all time in franchise power play goals or is there another milestone this season you would like to see him hit?
