Connor Hellebuyck turned away all 22 shots he faced, and the Jets were able to get three past Juuse Saros on the 28 shots they took on him.
The first period between the two teams ended scoreless, each getting an opportunity on the power play and taking nine shots.
Dylan DeMelo opened the scoring with his first goal of the season with 2:42 left in the second period. Morgan Barron shook off a check and found DeMelo wide open in the circle for a catch-and-release shot.
The Jets outshot the Predators 8-7 in the middle frame and headed into the third period up 1-0.
Gabriel Vilardi extended the Jets lead to 2-0 with a power play goal from in tight. The goal was his 16th of the season and his eighth on the power play.
Vilardi added his second of the game again on the power play just 62 seconds after he scored his first. Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers picked up the assists on both of Vilardi's goals.
The Jets shut down the Predators all game but once they took the lead, they limited the Predators to just six shots in the third period.
