The Winnipeg Jets have picked up their third-straight win, just days after things seemingly hit rock bottom.
On the heels of a six-game losing streak, the Jets have quickly righted the ship and are now in the midst of a three-game winning streak.
Saturday afternoon's contest against the Minnesota Wild just added some fuel to the fire for Jets fans eager to catch some playoff hockey.
The Jets pulled ahead on three separate occasions, managing to hang on in the third period off of strong performances from Vladislav Namestnikov, Alex Iafallo and Morgan Barron of the team's fourth line.
Namestnikov scored and had two assists, while Iafallo picked up two helpers on the afternoon, while Barron and Kyle Connor got the other two goals for Winnipeg in what was the final game of the season sweep of the Wild.
The win moved Winnipeg to 100 points on the year and brought the Jets within just two points of the Colorado Avalanche for second place in the Central Division - a seed that would come with the highly-coveted home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Winnipeg got 25 saves on the 27 shots faced by Connor Hellebuyck, who picked up his 34th victory of the season.
Next up for Winnipeg is a quick return home for two rest days, before the team heads back out on the road for important tests against divisional rivals Nashville, Dallas and Colorado to close out the road schedule.
Both Tuesday and Thursday's games against Nashville and Dallas feature 7:00 PM central start times, and can be viewed live on TSN.
