The Winnipeg Jets will face off against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday evening.

The Winnipeg Jets will travel to Chicago on Friday night for a test against Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks.

Winnipeg enters having won four of its last five contests, coming in on the tails of a 6-3 home victory over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.

Having scored multiple goals on the man advantage in three-straight games, the Jets have generated significant offence from their power play. But despite the special teams numbers, some defensive deficiencies have held back the team that many have called the best defensive club in the league - at least as of late.

"You saw it, with plays at the blue line that we don't normally make and we're making changes and they're getting breakaways," head coach Rick Bowness said following Tuesday's game.

"The second period was just really, it was sloppy. It was bad puck management but, again, give the guys credit because they responded in the third and started playing better. But our overall five on five game has to... It was so good in Vancouver for 60 minutes. We'll get it back."

Having made some lineup changes for Tuesday's game, Logan Stanley and Rasmus Kupari drew into the action while Nate Schmidt and Morgan Barron got the night off.

Friday's game will look a little different for Winnipeg, which is once again expected to dress 18 skaters, but it will be another assortment of players making up the lines.

Winnipeg Jets expected line combinations for Friday, February 23 at Chicago:

    Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi

    Ehlers-Monahan-Iafallo

    Appleton-Lowry-Niederreiter

    Barron-Namestnikov-Perfetti

    Morrissey-DeMelo

    Pionk-Dillon

    Samberg-Stanley

    Hellebuyck

    Healthy scratches: Schmidt, Kupari

Connor Hellebuyck will return to net after Laurent Brossoit picked up win No. 8 of the season on Tuesday.

Friday's game will feature a 7:30 PM central start time at the United Center.
