The Winnipeg Jets host the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.

Carter Brooks Winnipeg Jets Postgame Report

Two clubs moving in very different directions will square off at Canada Life Centre on Friday night, as the 41-19-5 Winnipeg Jets will host the 23-39-5 Anaheim Ducks at 7:00 PM central time.

The Jets and Ducks will hit the ice in the final test of a three-game homestand for Winnipeg, before the Jets head out on the road for a season-high five-game road trip beginning on Sunday.

Winnipeg will be looking to bounce back following a rather lopsided loss to the Nashville Predators on Wednesday, to which they trailed 4-0 at one point in the third period, before rallying for two goals late in the game.

Having alternated between wins and losses over their past six games, the Jets will hope to continue that trend just one more time against a Ducks team currently sitting 30th league-wide.

Having been without injured forward Gabe Vilardi over the past week-and-a-half, the Jets were also down Mark Scheifele on Wednesday due to illness. According to head coach Rick Bowness, he hopes the team's top centreman is healed up in time for the game on Friday.

Roommates Cole Perfetti and Dylan Samberg will join newcomer Colin Miller and Rasmus Kupari on the sidelines as healthy scratches, as Bowness heavily shuffles the deck for the Friday night game.

The other known change will be that of Winnipeg's netminder, as Connor Hellebuyck gets a night off as Laurent Brossoit draws into the fold.

Winnipeg Jets expected line combinations for Friday, March 15 vs. Anaheim:

Connor-Scheifele-Iafallo

Toffoli-Monahan-Ehlers

Appleton-Lowry-Niederreiter

Barron-Gustafsson-Namestnikov

Morrissey-DeMelo

Dillon-Pionk

Stanley-Schmidt

Brossoit

Injured: Vilardi

Healthy scratches: Perfetti, Samberg, Miller, Kupari

Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM central time on Friday. The game will be broadcast live on TSN.
